The 39 Articles Project grew out of a conversation on Twitter about the continuing relevance and interpretation of the 39 Articles of Religion, “Historical Documents” of the Anglican Communion which are rarely considered in the modern Episcopal Church. What developed from that conversation was a series of essays by laypeople, clergy, and scholars from across the Anglican Communion.
